Toledo Integrate Systems’ ZTSLM-4 tonnage monitor features signature analysis, enveloping, and CCM

Toledo Integrated Systems offers the ZTSLM-4 tonnage monitor. This resolver-based tonnage signature interface module provides force measurement and signature analysis for critical force applications up to 800 SPM. It is designed and configurable for single-action, double-action, and servo presses. Tonnage information is shared over Ethernet to either an industrial PC or AB PanelView Plus.

Signature analysis can be used in determining the amount of force exerted throughout the press stroke. This can be especially useful in determining if the amount of stress on the press is happening too early in the stroke. It is important to know what tonnage is being developed and where in the press stroke it occurs, says the company.

The monitor can help extend the life of presses and dies by preventing excessive hard hits. The unit monitors press capacity, critical curve, reverse tonnage, high/low peak, and envelope setpoints. The level of protection is fully customizable.
