AutoForm R8 software helps streamline digital process chain

AutoForm Eng. GmbH has introduced its latest software version, AutoForm R8, which the company says can help support users in streamlining the digital process chain. It is suitable for users working with progressive dies, springback compensation, and parts produced from patchwork blanks.

Users can define the strip layout for a single or double part and then evaluate and compare nesting options. The software allows for the prediction of potential blank shape and nesting, the minimization of material usage, and the early prediction of part costs. In addition, the new feature for webs design enables users to use predefined shapes and to model desired shapes with a few commands.

Users also can employ real measurements, rather than virtual ones, for springback compensation, so that part simulation results are not required.
