Automated cross‐cutting saw system handles nonferrous material

TigerStop offers the TigerSaw 2000, a fully automated cross‐cutting saw system with an adjustable cutting envelope, pneumatic clamping, and a patent‐pending lubricant mister.
The 17.7-in. saw employs a pusher system that helps ensure finished-part cut quality. It incorporates automated lineal cutting software and crayon marking of defects for maximum material yield, the company states.
Features include an adjustable cutting envelope that can accommodate various saw blade sizes from 13.78 to 19.69 in., pneumatic clamping for handling delicate material, an air-over-oil cylinder, and a mister that delivers lubrication at the cut point.
The saw is suitable for cutting aluminum extrusions, tube, and pipe (both solid and hollow), as well as for pack sawing.
The unit automates the entire cross-cutting process with a computer-controlled system. It offers fully automatic, pneumatic clamping in both vertical and horizontal positions. With a centralized pneumatic adjustment point, the operator can adjust saw stroke speed, pneumatic clamping speed, and lube mist volume.
