Gas cylinder valves incorporate quick-action lever for opening, closing

Linde Gases has developed EVOS™ gas cylinder valves. They employ a quick-action lever in place of the more traditional hand-wheel mechanism for opening and closing of the valve. This functionality helps ensure simplified opening and fast closing in case of emergency, and it allows the user to see at a distance whether the valve is open or closed.

The cylinder valve design also incorporates several additional new features, including a safety interlock button to mitigate the risk of the valve being opened accidentally; a guard designed to improve user safety and prevent damage to the valve; and a grip design for simplified lifting. The valve also can operate at 300-bar working pressure. With the EVOS Ci and VIPR models, a real-time content gauge allows users to see the amount of gas left at a glance.
