Virtual reality technology helps improve end effector production accuracy

DESTACO has introduced its new Accelerate® Vision virtual reality digital design solutions tool. It is designed to work in the production of the company’s Accelerate® Collection end effector components, which can be assembled into custom systems for most pressroom stamping applications.

By using the digital design tool at the beginning of the design process, the company can build an end effector based on customer-supplied models and also provide detailed information and data to diemakers. This enables the diemakers to streamline their design and review process for accurate tooling.

The tool allows the company to create complete process simulations, enabling the capture of interface positioning and additional collision points, maximizing press speed. After detailed simulation analysis is verified, the company can build and validate the end effector tool.
