Fiberscopes identify flaws as small as 0.001 in

Suitable for inspecting engines, equipment, tubing, pipes, castings, and other hard-to-access cavities, Lenox Instrument’s high-resolution fiberscope (flexible borescope) identifies flaws as small as 0.001 in.
The fiberscope features a tight bending radius and a totally steerable two- or four-way articulated tip that allows easy manipulation around corners, through pipe bends, and past blockages, the company says. Diameters range from 3.5 mm (0.140 in.) to 10 mm (0.395 in.) with lengths to 6 m (18 ft.).
The fiberscope’s uniform fiber configuration throughout its length enhances image resolution and prevents distortion. The objective lens (standard direct view or optional right angle) is placed at the distal tip for simplified focusing. Optical bundles are protected by a completely enclosed flexible stainless steel housing for smooth maneuverability.
The waterproof and digital- and video-adaptable fiberscope comes with a rugged case. Various light sources are available.
