AWS establishes Certified Resistance Welding Technician credential
American Welding Society has launched Certified Resistance Welding Technician certification.
The American Welding Society (AWS), Miami, Fla., has launched its newest certification, the Certified Resistance Welding Technician (CRWT).
Co-developed by AWS and the Resistance Welding Manufacturing Alliance, the CRWT provides a benchmark to evaluate resistance welding personnel and separates the qualified from the untested.
The CRWT exam tests the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities in conducting the setup, operation, maintenance, testing, and quality control of resistance welding equipment. It is designed for staff of all levels who work daily in resistance welding, including engineers, technicians, skilled tradesmen, quality control managers, and supervisors.
