Hollow-wrist robotic torch system available in water-cooled version
- July 28, 2015
- Product Release
- Automation and Robotics
American Weldquip offers a water-cooled version of the ArcSafe™ Advantage hollow-wrist robotic torch system. The 550 series has a rotary electrical joint that provides for +/- 360 degrees of rotation while eliminating electrical cable twisting or torsional strain.
The system’s modular design offers a common front platform across multiple brand-name robots in air- and water-cooled versions. An optional water-cooled kit is available to convert the air-cooled version to water.
The standard configuration includes an electrical rotary joint and the company’s precision TCP locating flat system. Insulating disks are available to adapt the system to any through-arm robot with built-in software collision protection. Options include a collision-sensing unit, air blast, and voltage and touch sensing.
