Hobart FabCOR Edge metal-cored wire reduces cleanup time
- December 18, 2017
- Product Release
- Consumables
FabCOR® Edge™ metal-cored wire from Hobart has virtually no silicon deposits at weld bead toe lines, which helps reduce the time spent on cleanup and minimizes the risk of inclusions. Its gap-bridging capabilities and wetting characteristics help minimize burn-through, reduce part rejection, and assist in producing smooth weld beads with uniform fusion.
The wire features low spatter levels to help reduce time spent on cleanup. It is suitable for applications in robotic and mechanized welding, heavy equipment manufacturing, agriculture, transportation and mining applications, and for welding nonalloyed and fine-grain steels.
The wire is available in 0.035, 0.045, 0.052, and 1/16 in. dia. on 33- or 50-lb. spools, 60-lb. coils, and in the company’s 500- and 750-lb. X-Pak—a wire payout drum for automatic and robotic welding.
