- April 23, 2013
- Product Release
- Consumables
Tri-Mix (color code chartreuse) and 2 percent lanthanated (color code blue) tungsten electrodes are available from CK Worldwide.
The Tri-Mix nonradioactive electrodes (A5.12M/A5.12:2009-AWS Class EWG) can be used in both AC and DC GTAW applications. Comprising 98.34 percent tungsten, 1.5 percent lanthanum, 0.08 percent zirconium, and 0.08 percent yttrium, the electrodes are suitable for mechanized or robotic GTAW operations.
The 2 percent lanthanated tungsten electrodes (A5.12/A5.12:2009-AWS Class EWLa-2) also are nonradioactive and suitable for AC aluminum applications. With a chemical composition of 1.8 to 2.2 percent lanthanum, balance tungsten, they are suitable for general-purpose GTAW applications.
