Fives Bronx receives order for API pipe straightening equipment

Fives Bronx, North Canton, Ohio, the global supplier of Bronx Taylor-Wilson finishing equipment and Abbey ERW pipe mills, has received an order for a Bronx series 6CR10 six-roll pipe straightening machine.

The machine handles a variety of API grades with diameters from 4.5 to 10.75 in., up to 49.2 ft. long, at temperatures from ambient to 1,202 degrees F. It uses the patented COMPASS computer-aided setting to achieve size change setup times in less than 3 min. Its design allows thin-walled tube to be straightened without surface blemishes at speeds up to 600 FPM.
