Robot control integrated into Wafios CNC tube bending machine

Wafios has identified the lack of a simple robot programming system as one of the key factors holding back the progress of robotic bending systems. The company has worked to incorporate robot programming in a bending machine’s control.

The result is a system that which allows programming the bent part in the bending machine’s control and simultaneously calculating the movements of the robot using algorithms stored in the software. This means that the robot and bending axes move in sync with each other (interpolating). With the new control, the Twister² can achieve the bending precision and quality of a conventional bending machine, says the company.
