Ficep’s RAZ robotic plasma coper handles structural shapes, tubes, pipes

Ficep Corp. has introduced the RAZ robotic plasma coper. It features four sides of processing to accommodate typical structural shapes, as well as structural tubes and pipe.

In addition to torch positioning flexibility, the machine uses noncontact laser scanning to probe all surfaces in seconds. This feature eliminates the need for nonproductive touch probing for each cut.

Hypertherm True Hole® plasma technology and FANUC robotics make the machine suitable not just for copes, cutoff, mechanical openings, and weld prep, but also for bolt holes in many commercial construction applications.
