ASMAG has developed the Linear Drive line of saws to help eliminate bottlenecks in tube welding lines. The saw integrates quickly into existing lines, offering increased productivity and meeting high safety standards, according to the company.

A linear motor is used in connection with a lightweight saw carriage, giving the saw carriage high acceleration. In addition, a high-performance gearbox is used in combination with a redesigned tube quick-clamping device. The gearbox is designed to optimize cutting times, increase saw blade life, and minimize saw blade diameter, the manufacturer states.

High-strength aluminum alloys are used in the gearbox and clamping device to help ensure high stiffness of the unit.

The protective enclosure with integrated noise insulation is compact to help reduce the space required on-site and to help ensure functionality and accessibility.
