In-die fastener-feeding system installs nuts, studs, standoffs

The PEMSERTER® in-die fastener-feeding system from PennEngineering® Fastening Technologies, which consists of die tooling, fastener-feeding, and die-sensing systems, installs self-clinching nuts, studs, and standoffs in assemblies during the stamping process. When working in tandem with a stamping press to feed and install fasteners, the system helps to eliminate secondary operations.

The system utilizes multipin twist-lock connectors to interface with the die and stamping press. It can be configured for multiple or single insertions, generally matching the rate of the stamping press.

The user is guided by a touchscreen and an online library of fault/help screens. Removable tooling can handle complex workpieces and offers adaptability for reaching into areas generally considered inaccessible.
