Fiber laser cutting system designed for entry-level applications

LVD Strippit has introduced the Lynx FL fiber laser cutting system. The flexible system processes a variety of materials and thicknesses. Powered by a high-efficiency IPG (2-kW) fiber laser source, the system processes thin sheet materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, as well as copper and brass.

The compact system uses an integrated shuttle table. One table can be loaded while the machine is cutting on the other table. Table change time is 35 sec. The integrated Siemens IU CNC and drive package helps ensure high accuracy and repeatability at high speeds, the company states.

The new Precitec Light-Cutter incorporates a quick protective glass cartridge change, temperature and constant-distance control, and a crash protection system.
