Andritz Herr-Voss Stamco delivers cut-to-length line to Coast Aluminum

Callery, Pa.-based Andritz Herr-Voss Stamco Inc. has started up a new cut-to-length line at Coast Aluminum in Kent, Wash. The line processes 0.25- by 72-in.-wide stainless steel and aluminum and has an incoming coil capacity of 20,000 lbs. It includes two Precision levelers—one heavy-gauge and one light-gauge—both with the Punch-N-Go leveler control system.

The custom-designed equipment includes the manufacturer’s proprietary electro-discharge texturing precision roll feed system, coupled with a high-speed shear that can cut both long and short blanks. The line also allows for the application of paper or vinyl to the leveled material.
